Weekly Update - Week of May 4th, 2026

Dear Families,

May is here! We are down to the home stretch and look to finish strong after the hard work through testing. We have some exciting field trips and opportunities for students to experience around Marion and the surrounding areas.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration is now open, and we are so excited to welcome our newest Heritage Vikings for the upcoming school year! If you have a child who will be five years old on or before the required date, we encourage you to begin the registration process as soon as possible. Early registration helps us plan for classrooms, staffing, and special events to ensure a smooth start to the year. We can’t wait to meet our future kindergarten students and partner with our families as they begin their Heritage journey!

You can find registration infromation below on our RV webpage.

Kindergarten Orientation will take place on Friday, May 8th.

5th Grade Camp - May 11th-13th

We are excited for our Heritage 5th grade student to participate in an overnight camp beginning May 11th through 13th. Students will participate in various camp activities and memories with their classmates. Students from Liberty will be joining us on Wednesday for an RV Discovery Time.

Super Games Volunteers

Heritage PTO is looking for volunteers for our annual Super Games on Monday, May 18th. Please use the Sign-up Genius link below to sign-up. Grades 3rd - 5th will be in the morning session and Grades K-2 will be in the afternoon session.

Please note, we will be using this list to print visitor badges. Volunteers will need to enter the front doors between 8:35 and 8:50 or after our morning drop-off at 9:15. You will enter through the weapons detectors in the main doors. We suggest leaving unnecessary items in your vehicles help speed up the detector process.

Recess

WARM WEATHER IS UPON US! Ohio weather gives us more temperature numbers than the lottery. Please remind your student to be properly dressed for the weather. This includes making sure that school-appropriate clothing is worn at all times. If a student's clothing is deemed inappropriate according to the handbook, a staff member will reach out requesting proper clothes be dropped off.

Free Breakfast and Lunch

We are thrilled to announce that free breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided for all students this school year! This initiative helps ensure that every student has access to nutritious meals, supporting their learning and well-being.
